At certain points during the year, the Junior and Senior Hatters have the opportunity to attend WORKSHOPS held by Professional Performers who rang from London’s West End, to the international performance circuit, to TV and Film.


Workshops this year will be held between Jan-April 2020.  All details are below if workshops are confirmed however please note details are sometimes confirmed at short notice due to the unpredictable nature of the performers work schedule.


The Junior and Senior Hatters are very lucky to have TWO West End Workshops this term, the first being a Blood Brothers Workshop held by the fabulous Jonathan Vickers.


Jonathan trained at the Guildford School of Acting along with Hollie, Mad Hatters Theatre Schools Founder and Artistic Director.


Theatre credits include: Frankie Valli in Jersey Boys (international tour) KATURIAN in The Pillow Man and CLIFF BRADSHAW in Cabaret (both for ACT), WILLIAM ROWLAND/ THE NASA CONTROLLER in Jeff Wayne’s Musical Version Of The War Of The Worlds (Arena Tour 2014 & 40th Anniversary tour 2018), PERKINS /cover EDWARD LYONS in Blood Brothers (UK Tour), JASPER in Sleeping Beauty (Kenton Theatre, Henley) DANNY GILMARTIN in Calamity Jane (Gatehouse Theatre, London) THE PRODUCTION TENOR in Singin’ In The Rain(Broadway Theatre, London), and JONNY WARNER in Zombie Prom (Landor Theatre, London).

Workshops include:  NARRATOR in She Steeps Themselves In Night (The Other Palace) LUKE in The Mill On The Floss (Cheltenham Everyman Theatre), BENJAMIN SLADE in Deptford Wives (National Maritime Museum) PHIL in Get That Beat (Tristan Bates Theatre, London), COUNCILLOR BEEZE in The Night Before Christmas (Arts Assembly) and BOB PUREFOY in Drat! (Toynbee Studios, London).


Voice over includes: BRI in The Life Of Bri ‘N’ Chris (Anthem Media) and JEZ in Diabetes podcasts(NHS).


Jonathan runs the award-winning Youtube channel I Read Books In Nightclubs.

The Junior and Senior Hatters second workshop this term working on Avenue Q with the lovely Cecily Redman.


Cecily is a musical theatre actress having recently played Kate/Lucy on the UK Tour of Avenue Q. Cecily graduated from The Royal Academy of Music with an MA and DipRAM in Musical Theatre with Distinction. In July 2017 Cecily was the first musical theatre student to win the prestigious Spotlight Prize and you can watch her winning performance on YouTube.
