Johannah Jolson - ABOUT ME

Junior and Senior Hatters Singing Tutor


Johannah graduated in 2009 from Guildford School of Acting‘s BA(Hons) Performance – Musical Theatre course. Prior to this, she attended the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Sylvia Young Theatre School.


In recent years, Johannah has enjoyed a truly international entertainment career – including travelling the world performing in large scale production shows onboard prestigious cruise lines such as Seabourn, P&O Australia, Carnival, Silversea and AIDA. In addition, she has been a featured vocalist with bands and corporate acts at events and venues all over the world, from the Maldives to Moscow!


Before her travels, Johannah worked consistently across many areas of the UK creative industries including theatre, screen and music; amongst other credits, for three years Johannah proudly performed with The Vocal Orchestra – a critically acclaimed beatbox show produced by Southbank Centre and Bristol Old Vic that toured the UK and had extensive television and radio appearances.


Alongside her varied performing career, Johannah has over twelve years’ teaching experience across all three performing arts disciplines, with children and adults of all ages and abilities.  Johanna, lead a workshop with Mad Hatters Theatre School not so long ago and as well as teaching with us, often covers at Urdang and other major performing arts colleges, sharing her experience with the next generation of performers.


Johannah is a fabulous teacher who’s energy fits Mad Hatters Theatre School wonderfully and Johanna is thrilled to be joining our talented and creative School, as of September 2019.
